Pacifics Roll Past Seaweed 13-3

June 24 2022 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Santa Cruz Seaweed 13-3 after building an early lead and collecting 19 hits. San Rafael scored three runs in the first inning, three more in the second, three in the fourth, one in the fifth and three in the eighth. Santa Cruz was held scoreless until scoring three runs in the ninth.

Beau Dorman led the Pacifics with three hits, two runs and three RBI. John Bicos added two hits, two runs and three RBI, including his fifth home run of the season. Jonathan Waite went 3-for-5 with three RBI and hit his fourth homer, while Tyler Georgeson and Tyson Thompson each drove in two runs.

Jayson Summers earned the win for San Rafael with seven shutout innings, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out 10. Jaymin Graveman worked the final two innings, giving up three runs on four hits and striking out two.

Nathaniel Brezner Mendoza took the loss for Santa Cruz after allowing nine runs on 14 hits in four innings. Anthony Larrasquitu pitched four innings in relief and allowed four runs, two earned, on five hits. Dillon Ponce supplied two of Santa Cruzs three RBI with a pinch-hit performance, while Joe Riddle added one RBI.
